Ann-Marie has changed my life in more ways than one. I’m grateful to have been referred to her as I was unaware that the symptoms I had been experiencing were a result of having a tongue tie. Until this point, I was not even aware that I had one or what that meant. From the first time meeting her, Ann-Marie believed wholeheartedly that Myofunctional therapy would relieve many of the symptoms I had been experiencing my entire adult life (and even longer.) She wanted to help me so badly, I could tell. It was this that made me say yes, because I knew that she cared so much about this thing that so often goes unnoticed but ends up significantly affecting peoples lives negatively. At that time I had chronic jaw pain and tension, poor shoulder mobility, back issues, forward head posture, trouble sleeping at night, and the list goes on. I remember being surprised at how many symptoms I had checked off were associated with having a tongue tie. Ann-Marie worked with me consistently both leading up to and following the tongue tie release procedure. She worked with me long after she needed to, to ensure that it was successful and that I was doing okay. Following this process, the biggest differences are that I notice I can speak without tripping or stuttering over my words, I can breathe better through my nose and my chronic jaw tension and soreness is gone. I know that my posture and mobility will continue to be a work in progress as my body adjusts, but it is incredible to know that nothing is holding me back anymore. I now know the importance of Myofunctional therapy and the significance of this work and how it affects the whole body and that is all thanks to Ann-Marie. I want to say a million times thank you for everything. You are the reason I believed that things could get better and you are the reason that I am better.
